This 8 week course meets
each week at a different location in
Key west to explore all the methods that it takes to paint an
exciting landscape. You will learn to train your eye to find the most
interesting spot, and then learn how to translate that to your canvas. The
student will learn what is important  and when detail is necessary and
when it is not. The class focuses on training the eye to distinguish the
subtleties in lighting and shapes thus creating a dance of colors and shapes
that at some times soothe and at other times excites the viewer.

The first two and a half hours will be spent on
painting with the last half hour for critique and discussion. Price for the
eight week class is $125.00

Call Caren Ragan at 305-304-9851 or email carenragan@aol.com. You can view some of

Would-be vendors can reserve a space for a $30 donation to the Foundation and must do so before December 3rd.

This flea market is an affordable opportunity for businesses throughout the Keys to expand their market and sell some of their inventory. Everyone is invited to participate in the market. Nonprofit organizations can use the market to raise much needed funds to support their own missions. Residents who want to generate additional income can take advantage of the larger crowd than if they held their own yard sale.

The Florida Keys Educational Foundation (FKEF) is dedicated to making the students of Florida Keys Community College successful. For more than 40 years, it has provided direct financial support to FKCC. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, the Foundation raises funds for scholarships that afford students a post-secondary education and the opportunity to better secure their own futures. Other donations are used to expand and create new programs and facilities that enhance the college experience.

The Artist's Way is the seminal book on the subject of creativity. An international bestseller, it's an invaluable guide to living the artist's life. Course based on Julia Cameron's book 'The Artist's Way"

Perhaps even more vital in today's cultural climate than when it was first published a decade ago, it is a powerfully provocative and inspiring work.

The book has started a movement and has helped nearly two million people cultivate their creative selves.
