March 19: 2 pm to 6 pm
March 20: 8 am to 5 pm

Skill Level: Ideal for the beginning to intermediate writer who is working on a book-length work of commercial fiction targeting a broad audience of readers.

This will be a hands-on workshop during which participants have their own work-in-progress critiqued and critique the work of others. Authors Hallie Ephron and Roberta Isleib will guide you in assessing and improving your work. We’ll focus on how to keep readers engaged from page one; how to craft an opening scene that hooks the reader; and how to create interesting, complex characters. There will also be a session on the business of writing and how to pitch your novel. Take-aways will be concrete ways to improve the manuscript.

Full Course Description HERE: Including Techniques, Schedule, Goals, and Supplies Needed
